Supplier Quality Engineer

Tandragee
£40,000 - £44,000 + Excellent Benefits

A leading engineering and manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to join its growing procurement and quality team.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on large-scale, high-value projects across the UK and Europe while playing a key role in driving supplier performance, quality standards, and continuous improvement.

You'll work closely with suppliers to ensure products and materials meet the highest quality standards, helping to maintain production schedules and deliver successful projects.

The Role

As Supplier Quality Engineer, you'll be responsible for managing supplier quality performance from initial approval through to ongoing audits and continuous improvement.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing relationships with key suppliers and monitoring quality performance
  • Conducting supplier audits and quality assessments
  • Reviewing supplier manufacturing processes and identifying improvement opportunities
  • Managing supplier corrective actions and ensuring effective resolution
  • Ensuring compliance with ISO quality standards and customer requirements
  • Developing supplier quality documentation and approval processes
  • Monitoring supplier delivery performance and supporting production continuity
  • Carrying out inspections, testing, and quality investigations where required
  • Producing reports on supplier quality performance and improvement initiatives

What We're Looking For

  • Around 5 years' experience in a Supplier Quality, Quality Engineer, or similar role
  • Experience conducting supplier audits and managing supplier performance
  • Strong understanding of ISO 9001 quality management systems
  • Knowledge of quality inspection, auditing, and testing techniques
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Willingness to travel to supplier sites when required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Desirable

  • Degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related discipline
  • Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and quality improvement tools
  • Project management experience
  • Experience using structured problem-solving methodologies
