Company Overview
I'm working with a long-established global manufacturer supplying high-performance products and infrastructure solutions to some of the world's biggest technology organisations. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a talented Supplier Quality Engineer to join their Supply Chain and Quality function.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career within a highly respected engineering and manufacturing environment, contributing directly to product quality, supplier capability, and continuous improvement.
The Role
As Supplier Quality Engineer, you will work closely with suppliers, commodity buyers, and internal teams to ensure components meet stringent technical, quality, and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead PPAP activities for the introduction of new parts
- Resolve supplier quality issues and implement suitable controls
- Conduct root cause analysis and drive corrective and preventive actions
- Support supplier development through UK-based site visits
- Assist in identifying and approving new suppliers
- Carry out on-site and remote supplier audits
- Build a strong understanding of supplier manufacturing processes
- Manage nonconformance investigations and rejection processes
- Ensure material compliance and review detailed material content data
- Review and submit supplier Full Material Disclosure (FMD) information
- Investigate customer complaints relating to purchased components
- Provide clear feedback and implement corrective measures

Essential Skills And Experience
- Background in quality management or quality assurance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (e.g., 8D methodology)
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings
- Knowledge of SPC, control plans, and dimensional measurement techniques
- High attention to detail with excellent data accuracy
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems
- Confident communicator with suppliers and customers
- Understanding of cosmetic quality standards
Desirable Skills
- Qualifications in Quality or Engineering
- Auditor or Lead Auditor experience
- Knowledge of Process FMEA
- Experience with SAP
- Understanding of material content analysis
- Experience conducting supplier audits
