The Role: Aftersales Spare Parts Quality Management Process Support
This critical position requires a dynamic, self-driven professional to support the Quality Management Team by ensuring manufacturers’ spare parts meet OEM quality targets through automotive industry processes.
Key Responsibilities by Activity Area
1. Supplier Relocations
- Direct communication with external suppliers
- Engagement with OEM stakeholders (Parts Quality, Purchasing, Engineering)
- Use of a Relocation Checklist for day-to-day management
- Conduct series audits at new locations, recording actions in the iPQ system
- Executing PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) activities in the iPQ system
- Providing regular feedback on progress to OEM Parts Quality Teams
- Leading initiatives through stakeholder engagement to solve issues efficiently
2. All-Time Buys (ATB)
- Direct communication with external suppliers
- Collaboration with BMW Group stakeholders (Parts Quality, Purchasing, Engineering)
- Managing ATB activities per established procedures
- Use of the ATB Checklist for daily oversight
- Conducting in-person visits to new locations for final validation runs
- PPAP actions in the iPQ system (if applicable)
- Reporting progress to OEM Parts Quality
3. New Spare Part Launches
- Engaging external suppliers for PPAP compliance in the iPQ system
- Aligning PPAP requirements to minimum VDA standards (including I-MDS)
- Providing regular progress updates to OEM Parts Quality

Location & Travel: This role will be based at client offices in Goodwood (with access to a spare parts storage facility in Bognor Regis, UK) and may require occasional travel within Europe to support supplier activities.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Highly organised, proactive, and driven to develop business independently with well-developed leadership, time management, and team collaboration skills
- ISO 90001 certification/knowledge is highly advantageous
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent qualification) in engineering or proven engineering experience
Essential Requirements
Qualifications & Background
- Proven project management qualification OR Degree in engineering (or equivalent professional experience demonstrating engineering knowledge)
- Basic knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or TF16949 quality control processes (training provided)
- German language skills – would be considered advantageous
- Ability to interpret GTD (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) diagrams
Technical & Methodological Skills
- Advanced competence in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint
- Experience with analysing large datasets, identifying trends, and presenting insights
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with high initiative and creativity
- Assertive communication skills (both written and verbal) for engaging with international stakeholders
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while managing deadlines and workloads
- Working knowledge of reporting tools, particularly Power BI at a basic level
- Preferred: Experience with SAP systems
Industry & Operational Knowledge
- Cultural sensitivity to customer expectations across global markets
- Deep understanding of global service, parts, and warranty processes (internally and within dealer networks)
- Experience in automotive aftersales environments
- Experience supporting PPAP processes, production relocations, and quality assurance compliance
- Ability to present feedback to senior management across varied business functions

- Some junctive travel required
