Supplier Queries Advisor

£25,430 to £26,000 plus excellent benefits (Work Level 6C)
Manchester City Centre (hybrid working between home and every Wednesday and Thursday in the office https://jobs.coop.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy)

We’re looking for a Supplier Queries Advisor to join our Source to Pay team in our wider Co-op Business Services (CBS) organisation. CBS is made up of a number of diverse teams dedicated to delivering high-quality, reliable, and cost-effective business services across our Co-op. You’ll play a key role in helping CBS to support and realise our group vision of ‘co-operating to build more value for member-owners every day’.

As a Supplier Queries Advisor, you’ll help us make sure that queries and disputes from our suppliers are resolved and payments are made on time. We’ll look to you to resolve issues and disputes, build key relationships with external partners, and make sure any remedial actions are done accurately. It’s a great opportunity for you to develop your customer service and supplier management skills as part of a brilliant team.

What you’ll do

  • Work with colleagues to manage all queries and disputes for invoices on food goods going into our Co-op depots and stores
  • Complete reconciliation and invoice statements
  • Resolve price and quantity claim disputes
  • Liaise with suppliers, depots, buying teams, and other Co-op colleagues to resolve issues
  • Respond to queries via email and through our supplier query portal

What you’ll bring

  • Experience working in customer service
  • Strong IT and Microsoft Office skills, with the ability to perform basic functions on Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs)
  • Good communication and relationship-building skills
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to manage your time effectively
