Supplier Relationship Manager – IT
Hybrid working model 3 days per week working from home | Salford Quays, Manchester Permanent full-time position (37.5 hours/week)
Salary Starting from £60K per annum, dependent upon experience
About the Role

As an IT-focused Supplier Relationship Manager, you’ll:
- Maximise the in-contract relationship with Bupa’s strategic suppliers.
- Align suppliers with Bupa’s Supplier Management Framework, ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations (FCA/PRA).
- Reduce contract costs and extract value while building strong supplier relationships for optimal performance.

Strategic & Operational Leadership
- Onboard and maintain post-contract supplier relationships, including governance oversight.
- Lead regular supplier performance reviews (e.g., SLAs, cost improvements, service quality).
- Conduct due diligence, risk profiling, and assurance reviews to mitigate financial/reputational risks.
- Drive innovation, efficiencies, and value collaboration to enhance Bupa’s attractiveness as a supplier.
- Translate business needs into supplier-focused continuous improvement plans.

Risk & Service Excellence
- Ensure suppliers meet FCA compliance (where applicable).
- Resolve operational/service incidents with root cause analysis (actioning improvements).
- Develop and implement performance remediation programs for underperforming suppliers.
- Identify contractual headaches while optimising negotiation flexibility.
Market & Reporting Insight
- Conduct market scanning and benchmarking to keep supply base competitive.
- Provide actionable management reports across all organisational levels.
Requirements
Essential:
- Supplier assurance/audit experience, preferably FCA/PRA compliance management.
- Outsourced service provider relationship management.
- Strong understanding of contract terms and risk management frameworks.
- Commercial acumen with experience in cost mastery/chford value extraction.
- Advanced negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Nice-to-Have:
- Procurement/Risk Management qualifications.
- Experience in IT service provision or digital transformation projects.
