About The Role
As a Supplier Relationship Manager within our Supplier Quality, Development and Compliance function, you’ll play a hands-on role in improving the performance of suppliers delivering consumer electronics — from devices and CPE to accessories.
You’ll be at the forefront of ensuring product quality, reliability and compliance, both at launch and throughout the in-life lifecycle. Working directly with suppliers and internal teams, you’ll identify issues, drive structured problem resolution, and deliver measurable improvements that enhance customer experience and business performance.
Your work will directly contribute to:
- Improving product quality and reducing customer-impacting issues
- Driving supplier accountability and performance
- Ensuring compliant, reliable products reach the UK market
- Supporting improvements across repair, refurbishment and returns
What You’ll Be Doing
As a key partner to our suppliers and internal stakeholders, you will:
Supplier Performance & Quality
- Manage in-life supplier performance for assigned suppliers
- Review supplier quality scorecards and identify performance gaps
- Agree, track and drive improvement actions
Structured Problem Solving
- Lead 8D problem-solving activities
- Identify and validate root causes
- Implement corrective actions and verify effectiveness
Product Quality Improvement
- Work directly with suppliers to reduce defects and recurring failure modes
- Address reliability issues and customer-impacting problems
New Product Introduction (NPI)
- Support supplier readiness checks
- Contribute to quality planning and risk identification

Supplier Site Visits & Audits
- Conduct on-site assessments to identify issues and promote good manufacturing principles
- Drive corrective actions and follow-up improvements
Returns, Repair & Refurbishment
- Analyse defect trends
- Support supplier corrective actions to improve performance
Product Quality & Compliance
- Carry out basic environmental and product compliance checks
- Support technical investigations where required
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong relationships with internal teams and suppliers
- Support ongoing improvement and effective issue resolution
Essential Required Skills / Experience
- Ability to travel internationally (including Asia): 20–40 days per year
- Ability to travel within the UK for supplier visits, audits and stakeholder engagement
- Experience working with consumer electronics, telecoms devices or similar product environments
- Proven experience managing suppliers in-life, including performance monitoring and issue resolution
- Practical experience in root cause analysis, structured problem solving (e.g. 8D), and managing product/manufacturing quality issues
- Ability to use data to identify quality issues, monitor performance and drive improvements
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes (plastics, PCB assembly, final assembly) and their impact on product quality and reliability
Desirable
- Experience in repair, refurbishment or returns environments
- Awareness of product compliance requirements (RoHS, REACH, CE)
- Exposure to NPI or product launch activities
- Familiarity with quality tools such as SPC, Six Sigma or similar
