Supplier Service Manager - Part Time
Job Description: Assistant Vice President – Third Party Service Provider Risk & Performance Manager
Purpose of the Role
To manage and monitor Third Party risk and performance to meet the requirements of the Barclays Third Party Service Provider Policy and Standards, through control execution, commercial management, relationship, and risk management.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage third-party control processes, including oversight of Third Party Service Provider performance, monitoring of KPIs, and ensuring expectations are met
- Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver outputs that align with procurement needs, mitigate risks, and align Third Party Service Providers with the bank’s needs and business strategy
- Source and evaluate Third Party Service Providers, conducting market research, analysing capabilities, and negotiating contracts
- Monitor industry trends in Third Party Service Provider management tools and techniques through conferences, training, and research
- Oversee Third Party Service Providers’ operations to ensure they meet Barclays’ Third Party Service Provider Management Standards, contractual obligations (including quality, risk mitigation, and commercial compliance), and regulatory requirements
- Support regulatory teams in addressing Global regulatory requests, examinations, and ongoing activity

The role requires the ability to:
- Advise senior decision-making, contribute to policy development, and ensure operational effectiveness
- Collaborate closely with functions/business divisions to align strategy and execution
- Lead complex teams, utilising advanced professional knowledge to deliver work with organisation-wide impact
- Set clear objectives, coach employees to achieve them, and assess performance and rewards accordingly

Purpose
To act as a key interface between internal stakeholders and external suppliers, ensuring seamless service delivery-aligned with contractual obligations, operational standards, and regulatory compliance.

Key Skills & Desirable Experience
Essential Skills & Knowledge
✔ Detailed procurement expertise ✔ In-depth understanding of operations management (risk, controls, business continuity, systems) ✔ Strong analytical skills for business performance analysis ✔ Excellent written and verbal communication
Desirable (But Not Mandatory)
✔ Prior experience as a Supplier Manager or Service Manager ✔ Knowledge of Merchant Services Operations platforms/products/services ✔ Background in a governance or oversight role ✔ Ability to adapt to evolving business priorities flexibly
