Do you enjoy working closely with growers and suppliers, solving technical challenges and driving continuous improvement across the fresh produce supply chain?

We're looking for an experienced Supplier Technical Manager to become the technical link between our suppliers, growers, production teams and customers. You'll play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of food safety, quality, legality, ethical compliance and sustainability are achieved throughout our supply base.

If you're looking for a role that combines supplier engagement, technical expertise and hands-on involvement with crops, farms and manufacturing, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role

Working closely with Procurement, Technical, Quality, Agronomy and Commercial teams, you'll oversee supplier compliance, crop quality and technical performance across our UK and European supply base.

  • Build trusted supplier relationships while driving continuous improvement in food safety, quality, sustainability and operational performance.
  • This is a varied role, split between the office, factory, farms and supplier sites, offering plenty of opportunity to get out into the field and make a real difference.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Managing supplier approval and due diligence across UK and European growers and suppliers.
  • Acting as the key technical contact between suppliers, growers, factory teams and customers.
  • Leading supplier audits and farm visits, covering food safety, crop quality, ethical compliance and best practice.
  • Monitoring crop quality, pest and disease risks, implementing corrective actions where required.
  • Managing microbiological and pesticide residue monitoring programmes.
  • Managing pesticide approvals through Food Experts and retailer systems.
  • Reviewing crop risk assessments and supporting HACCP compliance.
  • Supporting growers with food safety, due diligence and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Managing supplier performance through KPIs, end-of-season reviews and improvement plans.
  • Investigating quality issues, supplier concerns and technical incidents.
  • Producing weekly crop quality reports for Procurement, Commercial and Technical teams.
  • Supporting specification reviews, customer visits and technical meetings.
  • Supporting Scope 3 environmental compliance initiatives across the supply chain.
  • Keeping up to date with changing retailer requirements, legislation and industry standards.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
