Description

Are you highly organised, detail-oriented, and looking to develop your career in supply chain and operations? NCH, part of Solenis, is looking for a Supply Chain Administrator to join our Blastwash depot in Northamptonshire on a 6-month fixed-term contract.

This varied and hands-on role provides an opportunity to work across inventory management, purchasing, logistics coordination, and administration. Partnering with the Operations Manager and key stakeholders across the business, you will help ensure materials and products are sourced, managed, and delivered efficiently to support our operational and customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of all required reporting.
  • Maintaining appropriate stock levels for production and sales requirements.
  • Ensuring stock accuracy and the correct booking in and booking out of inventory.
  • Provide general administrative support to the supply chain and operations teams.
  • Maintain and administer supply chain management systems and tools.
  • Coordinate shipments and deliveries with internal teams and external providers.
  • Support inventory management activities, ensuring stock levels are maintained to meet business needs.
  • Maintain accurate records and update information within company systems.
  • Allocate parts and materials to specific projects.
  • Arrange transportation and distribution of products throughout the UK.
  • Liaise with freight forwarders and logistics partners to ensure timely and accurate import and export deliveries.
  • Manage Oracle administration tasks, including raising purchase orders and receipting goods.
  • Negotiate pricing and commercial terms with suppliers and vendors.
  • Support the Operations Manager with stock takes and audit activities.
  • Procure materials, products, and services in line with company requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and operational procedures at all times.
  • Adhere to all health and safety requirements, helping to maintain a safe working environment for colleagues and visitors.
  • Demonstrate and promote the core values of NCH Europe and Solenis.
  • Operate with integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

  • Ability to work as part of a team and using own initiative
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with supply chain systems like Oracle and SAP would be beneficial
  • Strong negotiation skills to secure favourable terms with suppliers
  • Previous experience in supply chain, stock control or a similar industry would be advantageous
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent organisation with the ability to prioritise workloads
