Job Description

Assist Head of Supply Chain and Distribution to ensure that the department effectively achieves its primary objectives. Provide departmental support for both the importation service from origin port to warehouse and the distribution activities of goods from warehouses to stores, wholesale, and web customers. Act as a point of contact for Supply Chain and Distribution related issues for both internal and external business parties.

What we are offering you

  • Support Head of and Manager of Supply Chain & Logistics to maintain and optimise all supply chain services.
  • Be the primary contact point for the business for any adhoc logistical needs of the business.
  • Support both the Supply Chain and Stock Integrity department tasks.
  • Authorise shipments with freight forwarders upon receipt of booking request.
  • Obtain airfreight or sea/air quotations (where necessary) based on means of transport and incoterms agreed.
  • Raise and send clearance presentations for consignments imported against Office account.
  • Keep merchandising/buying teams aware of any shipping related issues that may affect due dates.
  • Communicate with suppliers and freight forwarders to track orders and ensure delivery commitments are being met.
  • Maintenance of Shipment Tracking in excel spreadsheet.
  • Ensure correct tariff codes and country of origin are being used for all styles and POs across all departments.
  • Review HMRC clearance submissions and submit corrections.
  • Support with logistics for shop closures and openings.
  • Organise the Wholesale operations logistically when required.
  • Processing stock adjustments on system (currently Midas) to records accurate.
  • Ensure delivery and collection services to stores are maintained.
  • Resolve store delivery queries.
  • Organise daily branch transfer collections for stores and further actions from this process.
  • Chase missing cartons from deliveries raised by store with the appropriate carrier until resolved.
  • Report and claim for lost in transit store deliveries.
  • Process e-commerce carrier claims for missing consignments.

  • 2-3 years’ relevant experience in the logistics industry and working with freight forwarders.
  • Knowledge of HMRC customs procedures for imports and exports.
  • A high attention to detail.
  • Intermediate to advanced excel skills.
  • The ability to work autonomously, use initiative, and be able to handle multiple tasks from different areas.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • High level of confidence and the ability to communicate effectively to all levels of staff.
  • Proactive and positive approach to work.
