Supply Chain and Stock Controller Assistant
Location: Rugby, Warwickshire
Salary: £30,000
Full time: Monday to Friday

Our client is a UK-based company specialising in the distribution of chemicals and the production of premium alcoholic beverages. The company supplies solvents, specialty chemicals, and bespoke blends to a wide range of industries, including pharmaceuticals, personal care, automotive, and manufacturing. In addition to its chemical distribution business, our client operates a premium drinks division producing and supplying high-quality spirits such as gin and vodka to both own-label and branded customers worldwide. The company focuses on quality, flexibility, and strong customer partnerships, supported by its nationwide distribution network, specialist blending capabilities, and commitment to industry standards and sustainability

About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Supply Chain Assistant to support our client's Supply Chain Manager in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a varied, hands-on role where you will work closely with sales, production, finance, and technical teams to ensure the smooth flow of goods, services, and materials across the business. You will play a key role in purchasing, stock control, and supplier coordination, helping maintain accurate inventory levels and ensuring that materials are available to meet production and customer demand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Raise, place, and track purchase orders for goods and services
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials
  • Support supplier sourcing activities, including obtaining and comparing quotes
  • Assist in maintaining up-to-date cost information
  • Support the monitoring of supplier performance, including quality, service, and pricing
  • Maintain supplier records and assist with onboarding new suppliers
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers to resolve issues and ensure continuity of supply
  • Maintain accurate stock records using the TROPOS system
  • Process goods in/out and manage stock adjustments
  • Support stock checks, reconciliations, and inventory accuracy
  • Assist in ensuring appropriate stock levels and replenishment
  • Ensure stock is correctly located and rotated in line with operational requirement
  • Reconcile delivery notes and invoices to ensure accuracy of stock and financial data
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure data integrity across systems
  • Provide administrative and reporting support to the Supply Chain Manager
  • Support the tracking of ethanol movements and related reporting requirements
  • Ensure processes are followed in line with company procedures and compliance standards

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
  • Good numeracy and attention to detail
  • A proactive and practical approach to problem solving
  • Ability to follow processes and maintain accurate records
  • A positive, flexible attitude and willingness to support the wider-team
  • Experience with ERP systems, ideally TROPOS, is advantageous
  • Understanding of manufacturing or production environments is desirable
