Supply Chain Business Analyst - D365

Supply Chain Business Analyst – Dynamics 365 F&O & SCM

We are seeking a skilled Supply Chain Business Analyst with expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) and Supply Chain Management (SCM).

Hands-on D365 F&O & SCM experience is mandatory. This role blends Functional Consultant and Business Analyst duties, focusing on Warehousing and Logistics operations, including integrations with fleet management systems.


Key Areas of Responsibility

Business Analysis & Process Design

  • Analyse current warehousing and logistics processes, identify gaps, and propose optimised workflows using D365 F&O capabilities.
  • Document functional requirements, process flows, and system configurations for warehousing and transportation management.

D365 F&O & SCM Expertise

  • Configure and support Warehouse Management (WMS) and Transportation Management (TMS) modules.
  • Ensure seamless integration between D365 and fleet management systems for routing, dispatching, and load optimisation.
  • Hands-on experience and confidence required.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with supply chain, manufacturing, and logistics teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Act as a liaison between business users and developers to ensure successful solution delivery.

Data & Reporting

  • Develop KPI dashboards and reports for:
    • Inventory accuracy
    • Order fulfilment
    • Fleet utilisation
    • Delivery performance
  • Support data migration, validation, and testing during system upgrades or new deployments.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities for automation and process optimisation in warehousing and logistics, demonstrating productive and commercial value.
  • Stay updated on D365 F&O/SCM enhancements and recommend adoption of new features.

Key Internal & External Relationships

  • Reports to the IT Director, with a dotted line to the General Manager for Group Logistics & Manufacturing.
  • Collaborates across departments, including Operations, Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, and Finance.
  • Maintains partnerships with:
    • ERP support partners
    • Vendors
    • External consultants
  • Bridges business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.

Key Skills & Qualifications

Technical Expertise

  • Strong knowledge of D365 F&O & SCM, including Warehouse Management (WMS) and Transportation Management (TMS).
  • Experience with internal fleet systems and integration with ERP platforms.
  • Applied understanding of barcode scanning and mobile printing.

Business Acumen

  • End-to-end supply chain process knowledge (procurement, production, warehousing, distribution).

Analytical & Communication Skills

  • Ability to analyse complex data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills.

Bonus Skills, Accreditation & Experience

  • Experience in Power BI for reporting and analytics.
  • Knowledge of EDI and RFID technologies in warehouse environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, IT, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role with D365 F&O/SCM.
  • Experience in manufacturing and logistics environments with internal fleet operations.
