Supply Chain Business Controller

Location: Broughton, North Wales (60% onsite)
Contract: 12 Month Contract
Rate: £21.68 per hour PAYE / £29.00 per hour Umbrella
Hours: 35 hours per week (4.5 days, flexible working between 7am–7pm)
IR35: Inside IR35
Clearance: BPSS+ (to be completed prior to start)

Exciting Opportunity in Supply Chain Operations

Our client is seeking a Supply Chain Business Controller to join a dynamic business management team supporting industrial supply chain operations within a large, complex manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity to gain broad exposure across supply chain, logistics, finance, resource management, and business operations while working with stakeholders across multiple UK and international sites.

As a Supply Chain Business Controller you will play a key role in driving financial planning, resource management, performance reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Operational Planning (OP) activities for Supply Chain Operations in collaboration with finance teams.
  • Monitor budgets, resources, and operational performance, providing clear reporting and insights to leadership teams.
  • Coordinate resource management activities across the supply chain operations network, working closely with HR and Finance.
  • Produce analysis and decision-support materials to inform workforce and resource strategies.
  • Support strategic projects focused on competitiveness, efficiency, and operational improvement.
  • Drive improvements in business processes, financial tracking, and reporting activities.

  • Previous experience working in a similar business control, financial planning, operations, or supply chain support role within a large organisation.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence across a complex business environment.
  • Experience improving financial reporting, tracking, and governance processes.
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment would be highly advantageous.
  • Knowledge of macros is desirable but not essential.
