IT Supply Chain Business Partner (SAP Logistics)
HW Solutions are partnering with a leading multi-site retail organisation to appoint an experienced IT Supply Chain Business Partner to join their Business Systems team.
This is a business-facing SAP role, acting as the functional expert for SAP Logistics across the organisation. Sitting at the intersection of IT and the operational business, you will partner with Supply Chain, Finance, Buying, Merchandising and Distribution to understand business challenges, shape technology solutions and ensure SAP continues to support the organisation's commercial and operational objectives.
Working within a small, specialist SAP team, you'll become the trusted advisor for the logistics domain, combining hands-on SAP expertise with strong stakeholder engagement and the ability to influence how technology can drive business performance.
The Opportunity
As the IT Supply Chain Business Partner, you will own the SAP Logistics domain, acting as the primary point of contact between the business and IT for all related systems and processes.
This is a role for someone who enjoys understanding how a business operates, building strong relationships with stakeholders, and translating operational challenges into practical SAP solutions. You'll be equally comfortable discussing strategic priorities with senior leaders and providing hands-on functional support when required.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
