Supply Chain Inbound Optimisation Coordinator

Contract type: Fixed Term Contract (12 Months)
Location: Hatfield (Hybrid working - 3 days in the office)
Working hours per week: 40 hours
Level: Entry level
Reports to: Will Poole (Network Operations Manager)

About the team and the role

As part of the Inbound Optimisation team, you will support the wider Supply Chain function by executing critical administrative and supplier-facing tasks to ensure the efficient inbound & storage of stock within our CFC network. You will work closely with internal Demand Planning, 3PL and analytics Teams, as well as external suppliers and Ocado Logistics Operations Teams. You must be a highly motivated self-starter with exceptional relationship management, organisation, and communication skills, backed by a strong eye for accuracy.

What you’ll do

  • Provide ongoing support to the Supply Chain Inbound Optimisation Team
  • Owning the Daily Inbound Smoothing and Purchase Order Rescheduling Tasks
  • Adjusting & uploading safety stock settings to support wider Supply Chain initiatives & business KPIs.
  • Collating data daily for reports used by the wider Inbound Optimisation Team to make key decisions.
  • Supporting Key Stock Holding initiatives by taking ownership of key reporting and actions.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and remotely when required
  • Collaborate internally and externally to support sustained business growth and achieve industry-leading key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Undertake additional tasks as requested by management, in line with reasonable expectations.

Who you are

Minimum:

  • Excellent communication and coordination, with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Data analysis and reporting
  • Understanding of Supply Chain Principles
  • Strong organisation and time management skills
  • Takes a 'hands-on' approach with self-starting ability and proactive nature
  • Ability to influence effectively and build constructive working relationships across the business
  • A proactive team player, professional, polite, helpful and approachable and willing to share information, knowledge and skills with others. Ability to fit in and guide others in the team and wider business
  • Drive & enthusiasm, demonstrating the ability to work in a fast-pace environment, and be resourceful when faced with challenges
  • Ability to work under pressure, maintaining accuracy & keeping to deadlines
  • Excellent planning & organisational skills, planning and achieving results through effective change management
  • Confident decision maker who is able to work independently and on behalf of many others
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels
  • Excellent PC skills, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Microsoft Excel) to at least intermediate level
  • Experience with the Google platform and all related functions (Google sheets, Google docs)
  • A customer focused outlook and the ability to see how day to day issues can impact the customer experience
  • Adaptable and flexible approach to the position, to support a 24/7 operation

Preferred (in addition to minimum)

  • Previous experience within Supply Chain and FMCG environment
  • Operational warehouse / logistics experience
  • Experience in the e-commerce sector
  • Formal Supply Chain qualification(s)
