Job Summary:

We are looking for a Supply Chain Intern to support our REACH Compliance Team in ensuring regulatory compliance across SLB’s European operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in chemical regulatory affairs and supply chain compliance while working within a dynamic and collaborative team environment. Daily tasks include chemical compliance assessments, regulatory monitoring, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to support operations and ensure the timely and compliant movement of products.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Support the assessment of new products and raw materials for regulatory compliance
  • Maintain and manage compliance status data within SAP, ensuring information is accurate and up to date
  • Analyse chemical transaction data and support Substance Volume Tracking (SVT) activities
  • Conduct horizon scanning for emerging regulatory developments that may impact the company’s chemical portfolio
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Procurement and Sourcing, Product Stewardship and Business Lines to ensure alignment on compliance requirements and business priorities
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance compliance processes

Essential Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing BSc or MSc in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Supply Chain Management
  • Valid right to work status in the UK for the whole duration of the Internship

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to work with data
  • Technical Knowledge of Chemistry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Motivated, proactive, and eager to learn new things
