About the Role
Express Recruitment are delighted to be working in partnership with a well-established and growing FMCG business, as they look to strengthen their Procurement team with the appointment of an experienced Supply Chain Manager.
This role is based within a fast-paced supply chain environment and would suit an organised and analytical supply chain professional with experience managing forecasting, inventory and customer fulfilment across retail or FMCG sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring customer orders are delivered on time and in full, maintaining excellent service levels, coordinating with internal departments and external customers, and supporting continuous improvements across the supply chain.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience within a Supply Chain, Demand Planning or Inventory Management role, ideally within FMCG or Retail sectors
- Strong forecasting, stock management and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex supply chain data
- Experience working with supermarkets, major retailers or large customer accounts would be highly advantageous
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with experience using ERP, WMS or EDI systems being beneficial
- Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads in a fast-paced environment

Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage customer orders from receipt through to delivery, ensuring products are dispatched on time, in full and in the most cost-effective manner
- Work closely with Sales, Buying, Warehouse and Logistics teams to maintain stock availability, optimise inventory levels and achieve customer service targets
- Produce and maintain weekly sales forecasts using customer data and EPOS information to support demand planning and stock replenishment
- Coordinate with customers on forecasting, promotional activity, product launches and order fulfilment, ensuring excellent communication throughout
- Investigate stock discrepancies, monitor warehouse inventory, oversee stock transfers and identify opportunities to improve supply chain performance
Remuneration
There is an excellent remuneration package on offer including a basic salary of c£35,000-£40,000 DOE, alongside the opportunity to join a successful and expanding organisation offering long-term career development.
