Supply Manager

The Supply Manager is responsible for deputising and supporting the Head of Supply Chain in all Supply Chain activities. They are accountable for managing the Procurement & Stock Operations team and supporting the Commercial Graduate.

Focus is on continuously improving the vehicle procurement, payment processing, committed stock management, and delivery operations within the Supply Chain function. This role combines strategic oversight with operational involvement.

Responsibilities

  • Team Management, Operational Oversight and Accountability
    • Own the delivery of team KPIs and SLA targets, and report performance to the Head of Supply Chain with analysis and recommendations.
    • Manage and improve supplier relationships.
    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payment accuracy, reduce delays, and improve stakeholder experience.
    • Act as the escalation point for complex queries, stakeholder issues, and system errors.
    • Oversee the management of Supply Chain mailboxes & phone lines.
    • Liaise with Sales, Retailers, and Brokers to align committed stock delivery forecasts with activation and payout schedules.
    • Monitor and manage committed stock reporting, ensuring data integrity and audit readiness.
    • Manage escalation and resolution of VOR (Vehicle Off Road) and Vehicle Rejection cases.
    • Ensure delivery forecasts are accurate, updated daily, and aligned with commercial and operational priorities. Oversee deal log and pre-registered stock.

  • Compliance, Controls and Governance
    • Own and maintain up-to-date procedures, process maps, and “how-to” guides, ensuring they are followed by the team and ensuring adherence to all compliance requirements.
    • Perform compliance controls and ensure documentation and escalation of any non-conformities. Lead audit preparation ensuring all documentation and reporting is audit ready.
    • Report on team KPIs, highlighting errors, trends, and risks to the Head of Supply Chain, and propose corrective actions or process improvements.

Ideal Candidate

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in an operational role, ideally within automotive, leasing, or financial services.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with a hands-on approach.
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation, financial processes, and reporting.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proactive problem-solving and decision-making, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, during month-end peaks.
  • High level of ownership and accountability in managing tasks, resolving issues.
  • Agile and adaptable, able to support colleagues and shift priorities based on business needs.

  • Hybrid Role – 2 days minimum in the office in Coventry or Slough, whichever is closest to you.
  • Basic Salary: £35k-£45k dependant on experience.
  • Bonus: 8.5% per annum.
