Supply Chain Manager
Director, Supply Chain

The Opportunity
The Director, Supply Chain will oversee the end-to-end supply chain, ensuring seamless procurement, production planning, inventory management, and distribution while driving cost savings, service excellence, and resilience.
You will be accountable for:
- Supply continuity
- Cost control
- Service performance
- Regulatory compliance
- Strategic supply chain optimisation
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain Planning & Operations
- Manage end-to-end procurement, production planning, warehousing, and distribution.
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Ensure material and product availability to meet customer demand and production needs.
- Oversee foreign trade and customs compliance, including documentation and external liaison.
- Maintain up-to-date certifications, compliance, and regulatory adherence.
Supplier & Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal teams.
- Lead supplier negotiations, contracts, pricing, and service level agreements.
- Act as the key escalation point for cross-functional supply chain issues.
- Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Sales, Customer Service, and Procurement for alignment.

Inventory & Performance Management
- Lead forecasting and demand planning to optimise inventory.
- Balance service requirements against working capital targets.
- Utilise ERP systems (SAP) to track inventory and performance.
- Define, track, and report KPIs (e.g., inventory levels, service levels, OTIF).
- Drive cost-saving initiatives and operational improvements.
Risk Management & Compliance
- Identify, assess, and mitigate supply chain risks (supplier, logistics, operational).
- Ensure compliance with regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Maintain import/export and trade compliance (customs, duties).
- Support sustainability efforts, including supply chain environmental impact.
Leadership & Continuous Improvement
- Lead, develop, and manage supply chain team members.
- Foster collaboration, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Drive process optimisation and efficiency projects.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging best practices.
- Contribute to strategic supply chain and site planning.
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- Degree, HND, or equivalent in:
- Supply Chain Management
- Logistics/Transport Management
- Business Management
- Manufacturing/Engineering
- Information Systems/Computing
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, procurement, or operations.
- Proven supplier management, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience in export processes, customs, and regulatory compliance.
- Solid working knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and supply chain analytics.
Preferred:
- Professional credentials such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply Chain Management) or APICS.
- Background in a petrochemical, filtration, or industrial manufacturing vertical (experience with Doka filters preferred).

- Commercial acumen and strong negotiation skills.
- Data-driven decision-making with ERP/data analytics proficiency.
- Ability to manage complexity, prioritise, and perform under pressure.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills + data analysis tools.
- Risk management and compliance expertise.
Working Conditions
- Predominantly office-based, with frequent interaction across operational areas.
- Occasional travel may be required (supplier visits, site visits).
- Must be flexible to support operational priorities while maintaining business alignment.
The role may evolve; all aspects subject to organisational duties and requirements.
