Purdey Supply Chain Manager — Join London’s Iconic Gunmaker

We’re recruiting a Supply Chain Manager to lead our manufacturing operations, ensuring seamless integration from procurement to logistics while delivering unparalleled customer service.
About the Role
As Supply Chain Manager, you’ll spearhead end-to-end supply chain strategy and execution, driving efficiency, resilience, and alignment between demand forecasting and manufacturing capacity. This critical role shapes our production flow, mitigates risks, and optimises processes—perfect for a process-driven leader passionate about operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and lead our Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process to harmonise demand, supply, and manufacturing capacity
- Create and refine demand planning, supply planning, and production planning frameworks
Operational Oversight
- Manage procurement, inventory control, warehousing, and distribution—keeping legacy craftsmanship alongside lean revenue flows
- Control key performance indicators (KPIs): On-Time In-Full (OTIF) compliance, forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, service levels, and supplier performance

Process Improvement
- Implement Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies to enhance operational efficiency
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including supplier disruptions and capacity bottlenecks
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Bridge cross-functional gaps with Operations, Manufacturing, Procurement, Finance, and Sales teams
- Maintain strategic supplier partnerships, negotiating contracts and driving cost optimisation
Requirementes

Indispensable Experience
- Proven Supply Chain, Logistics, or Operations Management expertise, ideally in manufacturing, FMCG, engineering, or high-end production environments
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/MS Dynamics) and MRP planning tools
- Skilled in demand planning, inventory management, and production scheduling
- Proficient in data analysis (Excel, Power BI, or similar BI tools)

Leadership & Technical Skills
- Experience in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration
- Track record of leading development teams including coaching, mentoring, and performance management
- Competency in procurement, supplier management, and contract negotiation
Qualifications & Certifications
(Advantageous but not mandatory)
- Degrees in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or related fields
- Professional certification(s) (e.g., CIPS, CPIM, CSCP)
