Manufacturing Planning & Order Manager – Teledyne Microwave UK

Key Responsibilities

Ensure seamless operational flow with accountability for critical business systems and cross-functional collaboration:

  • System Integrity & Data Accuracy: Maintain and uphold MRP/ERP system accuracy to support real-time operational planning and decision-making.
  • Manufacturing Order Management: Oversee full lifecycle of production orders—creation, tracking, prioritisation, and closure—to align with production needs.
  • Material Availability: Strategise inventory and supply chains to minimise shortages and sustain production schedules efficiently.
  • Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvements by developing and implementing new business processes, ensuring optimal operational efficacy.
  • Kitting Activities: Plan and coordinate timely material preparation to meet exact production specifications and deadlines.
  • Safety & Compliance: Maintain robust supply chain records and documentation to ensure adherence to internal policies and external audit standards.
  • Performance Reporting: Provide daily/weekly operational updates on key metrics—labour, costs, milestones, and POC—to inform stakeholder decisions.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage internally and externally (suppliers & departments) to align priorities and foster cross-functional collaboration.
  • Production Scheduling: Manage orderbook sequencing, maximising production efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery targets.
  • Advanced Analytics: Analyse labour-cost-milestone-POC data, providing actionable insights to inform strategic performance enhancements.
