Supply Chain Procurement & Planning Buyer (Branded Hair & International Beauty) – East Croydon

📍 Location: East Croydon 🕒 Hours: 37.5 (9:00 AM – 5:30 PM) | Hybrid Working

  • 2 days working from home

The Supply Chain team ensures superb Distribution Centre and in-store availability across 800+ stores, organised into sub-teams supporting key Commercial departments.


What A Typical Day Involves

✅ Alignment & Demand Management

  • Protect on-shelf availability for branded Hair, Skin, and Personal Care products
  • Achieve 95% Distribution Centre availability by ordering stock at the right time, anticipating sales peaks and troughs

✅ Operational Excellence

  • Place and control purchase orders with suppliers
  • Manage stock levels within business budgets
  • Ensure streamlined flow from supplier → warehouse → store → customer

✅ Promotions & Forecasting

  • Launch promotional events with accurate stock v/s sales forecasts
  • Maintain a collaborative demand forecast with Buying and suppliers

✅ Supplier Engagement

  • Liaise regularly with suppliers to meet service standards
  • Resolve delivery issues & align on future opportunities and risks

✅ Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Report on availability, stock levels & supplier performance
  • Work closely with Buying & Merchandising for strong promotional availabilities
  • Drive stock turnover to reduce slow-moving inventory

✅ Customer-Centric Leadership

  • Be the voice of customers, ensuring the brand purpose is embedded at every touchpoint
  • Inspire a customer-first culture across both online and offline platforms

What You’ll Need to Succeed

Experience & Skills

✔ Minimum 3 years in Supply Chain, Merchandising, or related roles ✔ Strong numerical & analytical skills for Distribution Centre & in-store availability ✔ Confident in stakeholder communication (internal: Buying, Merchandising, Stores, Warehouse; external: suppliers) ✔ Proficient in Excel (V-lookups, pivot tables) and Retek (or similar IT systems)
