An exciting opportunity has arisen for Supply Chain Planner to join our Supply Chain Department.
The purpose of this role is to ensure delivery of products on time and in full while maintaining inventory targets across Rayner product portfolio.
You will be responsible to keep track of inventory, anticipate demand and suggest purchases to ensure supply continuity while liaising with Operations, Quality, Customer service, Regulatory, Sales teams, Finance, Suppliers, Logistics, and third-party wholesalers.
This is a full-time permanent role based at our state-of-the-art HQ in Worthing.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Review planning 0-12 months horizon to ensure optimal product supply for Rayner portfolios
- Work closely with internal and external contacts to ensure seamless product supply
- Select transportation routes to maximise economy by combining shipments
- Monitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements
- Review stock allocation to achieve most optimal benefit for business (utilizing financial and operational considerations)
- Support with Sales and Operations Planning process (S&OP)
- Proactively identify future supply constraints and develop options to mitigate
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to support an efficient supply chain and demand process
- Actively manage together with other involved functions phase-in and phase-out of products
- Successfully lead projects

Role Specific Competencies:
- Highly system literate, with the ability to interrogate large volumes of data from a variety of sources
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Able to present information clearly and concisely
- Excellent communication skills, ability to adapt approach to different situations and ability to influence cross-functional teams
- Must demonstrate high level of flexibility and ability to work on own initiative
- Able to work to performance targets
- Strong problem-solving skills with logical approach
- Understanding of standard Operating Procedures and Quality Management Systems
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Flexible ‘can-do’ attitude needed to thrive in a rapidly growing and changing company
Skills & Experience:
Essential:
- 2-5 years of proved track record within supply chain management (Demand Planning/Supply Planning/Forecasting/Production Planning/Logistics Planning)
- Educated to a degree level (or have equivalent experience in supply chain)
- Successfully taken part in projects and initiatives working within both commercial and supply chain
- Successful track record on continuous improvement initiatives
- Advanced Excel skills

Desirable:
- Experience in process improvement/simplification
- APICS certification
- Knowledge and experience of working with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP)
- Knowledge of analytical tools (Power BI, Tableau)
- Understanding and experience of auditing
