About the Role
The post holder will join our dynamic team at the UK Head Office, where you will play a key role in supporting the end-to-end execution of the supply chain. Working closely with Replenishment Buyers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, you will ensure accurate management of orders, stock movements, and supplier data, providing visibility and control across all operational activities.
As a Supply Chain Coordinator at Zeus Food, you will be a key contributor within our Commercial and Supply Chain team, supporting high service levels and product availability by ensuring that products flow efficiently from supplier to warehouse and customer. Your role will be instrumental in maintaining data accuracy, improving operational efficiency, and supporting stock availability, margin control, and business performance.
Reporting into and working alongside the Head of Commercial for Zeus Food, this role provides operational supply chain support across purchasing, logistics, inventory, and supplier coordination, ensuring efficient and accurate execution of day-to-day supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities
Order & Supplier Coordination
- Manage purchase order confirmations, ensuring accuracy across pricing, quantities, and delivery schedules
- Support Replenishment Buyers with order processing and supplier coordination
- Coordinate direct delivery orders resolving issues and ensuring timely updates
- Track inbound shipments and container movements, proactively highlighting delays or risks
- Monitor and report on supplier lead times (production and transit)
- Manage supplier invoice queries and discrepancies
- Track and chase supplier rebates and claims, ensuring agreed terms are fulfilled

Inventory & Logistics Control
- Monitor stock levels across internal warehouse locations, highlighting risks such as slow-moving or excess stock
- Process and support stock transfers between internal warehouse locations
- Coordinate inbound bookings for the Biggleswade warehouse
- Monitor inbound stock movements and warehouse intake volumes
- Support management and reporting of slow-moving and obsolete stock
Systems Data & Product Management
- Maintain accurate supplier, pricing, and product master data within SAP
- Ensure accuracy of product information including barcodes, dimensions, palletisation, specifications, and EPR data
- Support new product setup and ongoing product documentation management
- Work with suppliers to optimise carton dimensions and packaging configurations, improving pallet utilisation and supply chain efficiency
Reporting & Commercial Support
- Produce and maintain operational reports including supplier performance, stock management, inbound logistics, and sales credits
- Track ERP forex rates against market rates and support internal forecasting and provision reporting
- Provide accurate reporting and data insights to support purchasing, sales, and finance teams

Coordination & Communication
- Act as a central coordination point between purchasing, suppliers, warehouse operations, and finance
- Manage the Food Service Purchasing inbox, ensuring timely responses and escalation where required
- Coordinate product sample requests across teams
- Communicate supply chain updates, delays, and risks to internal stakeholders
- Support preparation and management of supplier and customer documentation (agreements, stock holds, etc.)
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve supply chain processes, data accuracy, and operational efficiency
- Support initiatives to improve supplier performance, stock management, and cost efficiency
Skills & Experience Required
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Confident communication skills (internal & external stakeholders)
- Strong Excel capability including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis preferred
- 1–3 years’ experience in a supply chain, purchasing, logistics, or operations coordination role preferred
- Experience using ERP systems (SAP preferred) advantageous
Qualifications
- GCSE level education (or equivalent)
