Are you a recent graduate with a degree in Cyber Security and keen to build your career in a growing, high-impact area?
About the Role
We’re looking for a Supply Chain Security Specialist to join our Information Security function at Sopra Steria.
In this role, you’ll help manage and reduce risks associated with third-party suppliers, playing a key part in protecting systems, data, and client environments. This role will initially require some onsite presence in the Hampshire area, with the opportunity to work predominantly remotely longer term, alongside occasional travel to site as needed.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assessing new and existing third-party suppliers by reviewing their security controls and associated risks.
- Supporting procurement, commercial, and project teams to understand and manage supplier-related cyber risks.
- Monitoring supplier risk using tools such as Bitsight and producing clear, meaningful reports.
- Contributing to the development and improvement of supply chain security processes and policies.
- Identifying opportunities to streamline ways of working and introduce automation.
- Supporting the response to supply chain-related security incidents.
What You’ll Bring
- An interest in cyber security, information security, or risk management.
- Awareness of risks relating to cloud services, SaaS and third-party suppliers.

- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and develop.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
