We're seeking a Supply Chain Solution Architect in London to support a digital and technology transformation initiative.
Please note, this is an initial 6-9 month inside IR35 PAYE Umbrella contract that will require onsite working in London 2 days per week.
Summary
How will you make change happen? As a Supply Chain Solution Architect, you will drive transformational change across a major retail organisation by defining strategic outcomes and end-to-end roadmaps that align product direction with business goals. You will shape the future of supply chain operations by bridging the gap between business vision and technical delivery, ensuring that complex systems and processes work seamlessly to support organisational growth and customer satisfaction.
You Will
- Define target-state solution architecture across supply chain platforms, integrations, data flows, and operating processes
- Assess current-state technology landscapes, identify gaps, dependencies, and risks, and recommend pragmatic architecture options
- Create high-level and detailed solution designs that connect business processes, applications, data, and integration requirements
- Work closely with engineering and delivery teams to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, supportable, and aligned to architecture standards
- Evaluate solution options across buy, build, and integrate scenarios, clearly articulating trade-offs, assumptions, and business value
- Support technical governance, design assurance, and decision-making throughout discovery, design, build, test, and implementation phases

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
