What You’ll Do
Primark is embarking on an exciting period of growth and transformation, and this role will play a pivotal part in ensuring that supply chain is ready to meet both current and future demands, to high standards for both online fulfilment (through Click and Collect) and retail distribution design.
This newly created position will lead the creation and establishment of a solutions design programme. They will optimize our existing logistics facilities, define our buildings of the future and collaborate with others to deliver on optimization and growth across the end-to-end supply chain. This role sets the strategy and vision for an efficient, omnichannel operation which is resilient, cost efficient, scalable and sustainable. Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain Development, the Supply Chain Solutions Programme Manager is a key member of the SC Development Leadership Team, responsible for driving end-to-end omnichannel solutions excellence.
The role will focus on charting the growth strategy, collaborating with partners in Digital Retail, Finance, Inbound, Logistics, Procurement and Technology amongst others! The individual will be responsible to lead the Innovation and Automation programme alongside scaling our existing eCommerce offering. We are seeking a distribution and fulfilment expert, with process, commercial and data-driven experience and deep expertise in logistics and global stakeholder management.

- Lead the development of long-term e-commerce supply chain strategies that support business growth, customer experience, service levels and cost objectives.
- Evaluate and optimise fulfilment network capacity, throughput, resilience and operational efficiency to support future growth.
- Develop business cases and strategic recommendations for network expansion, automation investments and operational improvements.
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable fulfilment solutions across warehousing, distribution, click & collect and reverse logistics operations.
- Manage complex cross-functional programmes from concept through implementation, ensuring delivery of operational, financial and customer benefits.
- Use data, modelling and forecasting to identify opportunities for productivity improvement, cost reduction and enhanced service performance.
- Build strong partnerships across operations, technology, finance, property and retail teams, influencing key strategic decisions through robust analysis and clear recommendations.
- Define and drive the automation and innovation roadmap, leveraging emerging technologies to improve efficiency, scalability and customer availability.
What You’ll Bring

- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
- Extensive experience (6+ years) in solutions design and project management within the fulfilment and logistics industry.
- Strong understanding of automation technology and engineering.
- Proven track record of driving operational excellence and project delivery.
- Experienced leading others and in leading large-scale programmes.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar AEC design packages.
- Excellent relationship-building and influencing skills, both internally and externally.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and cost optimisation.
