Role: Supply Chain Bid Specialist
Location: Gloucester
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time, Hybrid
Looking for an opportunity where your procurement expertise helps shape the future of major programmes?
We're seeking a Supply Chain Bid Specialist to join a leading defence organisation, playing a key role in securing exciting, high profile projects. This is an opportunity to work at the heart of bid activity, collaborating with commercial, programme and business development teams to develop competitive supply chain strategies that win new business.
What you'll be doing:
- Building and managing relationships with strategic suppliers.
- Supporting bids by identifying and engaging the right supply chain partners.
- Leading supplier sourcing, evaluation and negotiations.
- Working closely with cross-functional teams to develop competitive, deliverable proposals.
- Supporting contract development and ensuring procurement best practice.
- Promoting responsible sourcing and long-term supplier partnerships.

We're looking for people with experience in:
- Procurement, strategic sourcing or supply chain.
- Supplier relationship management and negotiations.
- Bid, tender or proposal support (or a strong interest in moving into this area).
- Defence, aerospace, engineering, manufacturing or another regulated industry.
- Managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Buyer, Procurement Specialist, Strategic Buyer, Supply Chain Specialist or Subcontract Manager looking to move into a more strategic, commercially focused role with genuine career progression.
