Supply Chain Specialist

Location: London

Contract length: 12 months

Start date: ASAP

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday

Pay: £210 per day

About the role

We’re looking for a Supply Chain Specialist to join a high-performing carrier sourcing and logistics team. This role sits at the heart of a complex, international supply chain operation, ensuring that carrier performance, cost efficiency, and service quality are continuously improved.

You’ll work closely with operational, retail, and cross-functional teams, helping to optimise end-to-end supply chain flows, improve customer experience, and support energy and cost efficiency initiatives. This is a great opportunity for an experienced analyst who enjoys data, stakeholder management, and driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

  • Continuous improvement with carriers: Identify, manage, and drive improvement plans with carrier partners to enhance performance and reliability.
  • Operational problem-solving: Partner with internal teams to advise on and manage operational challenges across the supply chain.
  • Project support: Support the planning and organisation of complex projects, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
  • Stakeholder communication: Prepare and participate in regular operational calls, business reviews, QBRs, and customer service workshops, presenting insights and progress on improvement plans.
  • Relationship management: Develop strong relationships with line haul providers, ensuring clear communication and visibility across the line haul network.

Basic requirements

  • Degree in Business, Economics, Logistics, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Strong data analysis skills, with experience creating reports and dashboards for leadership
  • Experience communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including peers and senior leaders
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
  • Experience in supply chain, logistics, e-commerce, or transportation planning
  • Experience using data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau, Quicksight)

Key skills and competencies

  • Advanced Excel & SQL:
    • Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and advanced Excel functions
    • Strong SQL skills for querying and analysing large datasets
