Background
The Boeing Company is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Specialist to support Boeing Global Services (BGS) Supply Chain Team, based at our Heston, London site.
This critical role empowers exceptional teamwork across multiple functions, directing operations for both first-time and established aerospace products. The ideal candidate thrives in collaborative environments and must communicate seamlessly with both internal stakeholders and external partners to resolve complex issues.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting Operating Programs
- Cross-functional coordination: Act as a liaison between multi-BGS programs and global warehousing/logistics functions to align strategies and execution plans.
- Aftermarket operations: Provide direction and oversight for end-of-life product support, including inventory, shipping, and business continuity planning.
- Third-party logistics management: Lead end-to-end communication, strategic partnerships, and project execution across international warehouse affiliates.
Problem Resolution & Customer Engagement
- Act as a direct point of contact: Oversight of customer inquiry resolution for supply chain processes, ensuring rapid progress towards effective solutions.
- Supplier and Sales analytics: Collect, process, and analyze documentation and data from customers and/or suppliers concerning product capacities, repair facilities, and system adaptability.
- KPI-focused warehousing: Evaluate inventory processes, shipping integrity, and other operational efficiency metrics—ensuring warehouses meet targets with minimal risk.

Supply Chain Optimization
- Assessment and decision-making: Lead analysis of supply chain data including repair capabilities, capacity, and solutions for component obsolescence.
- Change management insights: Assess impact of configuration modifications on existing support tools and identify strategic supply chain alternatives.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements
- Technical proficiency: Hands-on SAP software experience.
- Logistics experience: 4+ years in supply chain/logistics, preferably within high-volume transactional environments.
- Technical program experience (fabrication, repair, or manufacturing of one or more of the following: aerospace systems or components, electrical/electromechanical assemblies, and technical hardware guides (assembly and/or operation).
- Data fluency: Strong data analytics skills with operational I&A visualisation in a portfolio or spreadsheet environment.
- Software competency: Proficient in all Microsoft Office Suite applications.
Preferred Competencies
- Degree qualification: Competitive consideration given to a Bachelor’s degree (Accredited Institution).
- Boeing Knowledge: A working understanding of Boeing company tools, processes, programs, policies—all aligned with our standards of quality and industry compliance.
- Customer acumen: Focused on customers’ needs and efficient solutions.
