ROLE: Supply Chain Team Leader
HOURS: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:30)
LOCATION: MOD Lyneham
MOD security clearance process including Enhanced DBS pre‑employment vetting and SC clearance requirement (candidates must have 5 years' checkable work history and Developed Vetted posts require UK nationality).

We're looking for a Supply Chain Team Leader to join an experienced, versatile team delivering first‑class services to our world‑class Armed Forces personnel.
Based at MOD Lyneham Logistic Store, working primarily in a storeroom environment, the post holder will be a versatile, customer‑focused Stores Supervisor with the drive to provide a first‑class service to the Armed Forces. The incumbent will lead a small team effectively and be versatile in controlling stored items to ensure optimum availability to the military community on site. Training can be provided where appropriate.
Role Responsibilities
- Act as the lead Subject Matter Expert for the assigned area of stores responsibility, whether it be clothing stores, general stores, or receipt and despatch, promoting best practice and delivering the contracted requirement to the appropriate quality standard and agreed service levels, including completion of internal checks, controls and compliance auditing.
- Support the development of the delivery team to optimised performance, taking timely action to mitigate risk and potential service failure.
- Maintain stock levels of specialist stores and clothing, carrying out stocktaking and maintenance to ensure compliance checks are completed correctly.
- Ensure deliveries are unloaded from vehicles safely and effectively, goods are unpacked, reviewed against invoices for discrepancies, stock replenished and records updated.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders, promoting customer service excellence.

Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in Defence or Military background
- Knowledge of MOD Management of the Joint Deployed Inventory (MJDI) stores accounting applications (desirable, training can be provided).
- Knowledge of Visual in Transit Asset Logging (VITAL) for receipting and issuing RSG back to depots (desirable, training can be provided).
- Full UK driving licence (desirable) and forklift licence (desirable) — forklift training can be provided.
