Supply Distribution Associate

As a Supply Distribution Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless operations by handling critical distribution, inventory management, and logistical tasks across:

  • Supply Distribution
  • Linen Distribution
  • Shipping/Receiving
  • Sterile Processing (where applicable)

Your work directly impacts patient care and team efficiency—make a tangible difference every day.

  • Supply & Linen Distribution: Distribute critical supplies and linen materials to clinical floors and departments
  • Inventory Management: Oversee backordered and substitute inventory deliveries ensuring proper restocking
  • Mastery of the LUM (Low Unit of Measure) system and inventory functions
  • Collaborate on processes to update and implement new item requests while resolving supply shortages
  • Handle product recall alerts and maintain accurate records for crash cart supplies
  • Assist with management of backorder processes across all divisions
  • Align with clinical partners on proper storage and handling of clean storage items

Digital & Process Expertise

  • Train and educate clinical staff on ParEx software (contract pricing system)
  • Maintain and support ParEx-linked hardware (computers and scales)
  • Ensure rigorous monitoring of supply expiration dates to prevent waste
  • Support the Department QA program and process improvements

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Propose and implement solutions to enhance operational efficiency
  • Contribute to updating standard operating procedures and staff training initiatives

Essential Qualifications & Skills

Successful candidates will demonstrate the following:

  • Educational Background – High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
  • Experience – Preferred: Prior experience in material handling, medical supply distribution, or warehouse logistics
  • Technical Proficiency
    • Ability to safely operate material handling equipment (forklifts, lifts, etc.)
    • Hands-on experience with inventory control systems and basic computer functions
    • Competency with database and Microsoft Office applications
  • Soft Skills
    • Courteous, patient, and service-oriented approach to client and team interactions
    • Strong teamwork attitude, fostering collaboration across clinical and support departments
