Supply Distribution Associate

As a Supply Distribution Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless operations by handling critical distribution, inventory management, and logistical tasks across:
- Supply Distribution
- Linen Distribution
- Shipping/Receiving
- Sterile Processing (where applicable)

Key Responsibilities
The Supply Distribution Associate partners with clinical teams and support departments to maintain a reliable and efficient supply system. Your core responsibilities include:

- Supply & Linen Distribution: Distribute critical supplies and linen materials to clinical floors and departments
- Inventory Management: Oversee backordered and substitute inventory deliveries ensuring proper restocking
- Mastery of the LUM (Low Unit of Measure) system and inventory functions
- Collaborate on processes to update and implement new item requests while resolving supply shortages
- Handle product recall alerts and maintain accurate records for crash cart supplies
- Assist with management of backorder processes across all divisions
- Align with clinical partners on proper storage and handling of clean storage items
Digital & Process Expertise
- Train and educate clinical staff on ParEx software (contract pricing system)
- Maintain and support ParEx-linked hardware (computers and scales)
- Ensure rigorous monitoring of supply expiration dates to prevent waste
- Support the Department QA program and process improvements
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Propose and implement solutions to enhance operational efficiency
- Contribute to updating standard operating procedures and staff training initiatives

Essential Qualifications & Skills
Successful candidates will demonstrate the following:
- Educational Background – High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
- Experience – Preferred: Prior experience in material handling, medical supply distribution, or warehouse logistics
- Technical Proficiency
- Ability to safely operate material handling equipment (forklifts, lifts, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with inventory control systems and basic computer functions
- Competency with database and Microsoft Office applications
- Soft Skills
- Courteous, patient, and service-oriented approach to client and team interactions
- Strong teamwork attitude, fostering collaboration across clinical and support departments
