The Role
This is a Supply Planner position focused on ensuring the right products are available in the right place at the right time across a global travel catering supply chain. This role sits within a period of business transformation, where planning processes, systems, and data flows are actively being improved. While some activities are currently manual, there is a strong focus on increasing automation and system integration, with Supply Planners playing a key role in identifying and driving these improvements.
The Supply Planner owns supply planning activities for an assigned product category, ensuring stock availability while balancing inventory levels, supplier performance, and operational efficiency.

- Executing Supply Planning and S&OP/IBP processes
- Managing Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP)
- Creating and maintaining supply plans
- Raising and managing Purchase Orders and Stock Transfer Orders
- Monitoring inventory levels and availability targets
- Managing supplier performance and resolving supply issues
- Supporting product launches, delistings, and range changes
- Investigating stock shortages and conducting root cause analysis
- Working closely with Finance, Retail, Merchandising, Category Management, and suppliers
- Supporting business transformation and system integration activities
A Successful Supply Planner Will
- Maintain high product availability levels

What to Expect in This Role
This role operates within a fast-paced, operational planning environment where responsiveness and adaptability are critical.
- Planning operates on daily and weekly cycles, requiring regular reprioritisation as demand and supply conditions change
- The role involves hands-on system work, including ERP transactions and regular use of Excel to manage, analyse, and reconcile data
- As part of an evolving business, some processes remain manual, with opportunities for improvement and automation over time
- You will be part of a large, collaborative, and fast-moving team environment, particularly during peak periods
This role will suit someone who is comfortable working at pace, enjoys problem-solving in real time, and is motivated by improving processes in a developing supply chain environment. This pace and variety mean you’ll see a direct and immediate impact of your decisions on product availability and customer experience.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience within a Supply Planner, Demand Planner, Inventory Planner, Supply Chain Coordinator, or similar planning role.
- Proven experience working within high-frequency (daily/weekly) planning cycles in a fast-paced, reactive environment with competing priorities.
- Strong Excel skills with experience working in data-heavy environments, including manual data handling, analysis, and reconciliation alongside ERP/system-based planning.
- Strong communication skills with experience managing a high volume of interactions with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritise competing demands and make informed decisions under pressure, including during periods of high workload.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Experience using ERP, MRP, or supply chain planning systems would be advantageous.
