Eden Scott are delighted to be working with an expanding company who are looking for a highly motivated individual to join their team as a Supply Planner, on a full-time, permanent basis at their site in Ellon, Aberdeenshire.

The Supply Planner is responsible for creating the finished goods production plans, that meets customers' requirements on time and in full, as well as managing inventory effectively, and minimising finished goods obsolescence.

Responsibilities:

  • Create a supply plan that balances efficiency, stock freshness, stock levels, and customer availability.
  • Plan the finished goods for new product development (NPD) and delists, to ensure new products launch on time, with all tasks completed on time and any risks flagged.
  • Monitor and maintain the inventory levels of finished goods, with a portfolio of over 100 SKUs.
  • Review & develop finished goods inventory policies, making proposals for any changes.
  • Communicate any potential shortages or overstocks to the supply chain and sales teams.
  • Coordinate with materials planning to ensure supply plans are achievable with materials plans.
  • Provide any insights or changes required to master data based on run rates, lot sizes, inventory rules, to the owner of master data.
  • Interact with internal teams to agree on supply plans in line with inventory, service, obsolescence, and efficiency targets – ensure all teams are aligned and understand the supply plan.
  • Create supply strategies to deal with different types of products and to manage events (e.g., shutdowns, seasonal peaks).
  • Identify long-term strategic supply opportunities that create efficiencies and reduce costs within the supply chain and operations.
  • Coordinate within the wider supply chain and production team to develop best practices and share knowledge.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis and Continuous Improvement within the role, leading to reduced issues, and improved ways of working.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of any supply planning tools or system improvements.
  • Contribute to the S&OP cycle by undertaking analysis, or preparing content to present in the Supply Review.
