Supply Planning Lead

We're partnering with a market-leading FMCG business to recruit a Supply Planning Lead who will play a pivotal role in delivering outstanding customer service, optimising inventory, and driving continuous improvements across a multi-site manufacturing operation.

Role Overview

Reporting into the Head of Supply Chain, you'll lead end-to-end supply planning activities across multiple manufacturing sites, balancing customer demand, production capacity, and inventory to deliver industry-leading service levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the supply planning process across multiple manufacturing sites and product categories.
  • Own the short, medium, and long-term supply plans, ensuring optimal inventory, capacity utilisation, and customer service.
  • Partner closely with Demand Planning and Commercial teams to balance demand with manufacturing capability.
  • Drive the monthly Supply Review and support the wider Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process.
  • Lead planning improvements that enhance agility, visibility, and operational performance.
  • Identify inventory optimisation opportunities, reducing waste whilst maintaining availability.
  • Develop planning KPIs, dashboards, and performance reporting to support business decisions.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Procurement, and Customer Service to proactively manage supply risks.
  • Champion best practice planning processes and continuous improvement initiatives across the network.
  • Coach and influence stakeholders to embed a culture of planning excellence.

What We're Looking For

You'll already be operating as a Supply Planning Manager, Supply Planning Lead, or Senior Supply Planner within a fast-moving FMCG environment and be comfortable managing complexity across multiple production sites and large SKU portfolios.

You'll also bring:

  • Significant FMCG Supply Planning experience.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain and S&OP/IBP.
  • Experience managing complex manufacturing and inventory planning.
  • Proven success improving service levels, inventory, and waste reduction.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Strong analytical capability with experience using ERP and planning systems (SAP APO, SAP IBP, OMP, Kinaxis, Blue Yonder, or similar desirable).
  • Ability to lead change and drive continuous improvement.
  • Degree qualified or equivalent Supply Chain experience.
