Are you looking for a new care and support opportunity? If you are passionate about making a real difference through supporting young people, we would love to hear from you!
We have support assistant roles in our Ingram Court supported housing service for young people aged 16 to 22 in central Croydon. These roles build on customer care, health and safety, flexibility, adaptability and support young people on their path to independence.
Our 44-bed service is conveniently located in central Croydon close to West Croydon station/tram stop, offering excellent transport links across London and beyond. Some parking is available on site for colleagues on a first comes basis.
Our customers come with a range of support needs, such as those associated with mental health, care leaver status, probation, ex-offending, domestic violence, learning disabilities and asylum seeking.
You will join a lively, supportive, and friendly team to work together to provide an excellent service for our young people.
Our Support Assistants have a smaller customer caseload and focus more on group activities. A key part of the role is enabling customers to gain necessary support from other agencies so you will need to be able to network/build relationships with those in other organisation. You need knowledge of safeguarding and how this may apply in the day-to-day work we do as well as understanding of the reasons why people become homeless.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
