Support Assistant - Edsential
Salary: £12.89 per hour
Location: Conway Centre (Fixed Location)
Hours: 25 hours per week, over 42 weeks per year (1,050 hours per year) Contract Type: Annualised Hours
What “Annualised Hours” Means
Annualised hours means you are contracted to work a total number of hours across the year, rather than the same number of hours every week. Your hours may vary depending on needs of the centre, but your overall yearly total stays the same.
Overview Of The Role
As a Support Assistant at Edsential, you will play a key role in maintaining the quality, cleanliness, and smooth running of the Conway Centre. You’ll support several teams across the site, including:

Housekeeping
- Changing beds
- Mopping floors
- Cleaning bathrooms and communal areas

Catering
- Preparing food
- Washing dishes
- Serving meals
- Maintaining kitchen hygiene

Maintenance
- Basic practical tasks, such as sweeping yards, painting, and general upkeep

What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll help ensure the Conway Centre looks its best and operates smoothly every day. Your work will support the presentation of both indoor and outdoor spaces, contributing to a positive experience for all visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning duties: routine and deep cleaning of accommodation, communal areas, and offices
- Catering support: assisting with food preparation, serving, and kitchen hygiene
- Room setups: preparing spaces for meetings, events, and activities
- Basic upkeep & repairs: painting, grounds maintenance
