Support Assistant

Support Assistant – Supported Living Services (Reading)

We are looking for kind, caring, and dependable Support Assistants to join our Supported Living Services in Reading.

Full-time and part-time opportunities are available across morning, evening, and daytime shifts.

About the Role

  • Provide kind, respectful, and person-centred support tailored to each individual’s needs and wishes.
  • Help people build confidence, develop daily living skills, and take part in their community.
  • Promote dignity, choice, independence, wellbeing, and safeguarding in everything you do.
  • Work closely with the Manager and wider team to provide safe, consistent support.
  • Monitor wellbeing, keep clear and accurate records, and raise any concerns appropriately.
  • Support with:
    • Medication
    • Appointments & routines
    • Household tasks
    • Creating a welcoming home environment
  • Encourage positive outcomes and help each person live a fuller, more independent life.

Requirements

You will be a great fit if you have:

  • At least one year of experience in care, ideally within:
    • Supported living
    • Learning disabilities
    • Mental health services
  • Personal experience of caring for or supporting others
  • A genuine passion for helping people live well
