Position: Support Engineer

Location: Liverpool

Salary: £38,000 - £44,000

Employment Type: Full-time

🚗 (Full UK Driving Licence required)


About the Company

Labman Automation is a multi-award-winning company based in North Yorkshire. We specialise in the design and manufacture of bespoke laboratory automation systems and products for global industries.

With increasing demand for our custom automation and robotic laboratory solutions, we are seeking a proactive, technically skilled Support Engineer to ensure the reliability and performance of our systems. This role is based in Liverpool and will play a critical role in maintaining Labman’s global customer base.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, repair laboratory automation systems
  • Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers, operators, and internal teams
  • Conduct performance testing to ensure systems meet Labman’s quality standards
  • Build strong customer relationships through exceptional service
  • Document all service activities, maintenance plans, and customer interactions
  • Regular trips to Labman HQ (Stokesley, North Yorkshire) for new project support

⚠️ Relevant industries/experience include:

  • Building Management Systems
  • Control Engineer
  • HVAC Engineer
  • On-site Maintenance Engineer
  • Vehicle/HGV/Agricultural Mechanics

Requirements

✅ Essential:

  • Proven problem-solving, fault-finding, and decision-making skills
  • Strong electromechanical knowledge
  • Ability to use hand tools efficiently and work quickly in a technical environment
  • Enthusiasm for hands-on work and a willingness to adapt
  • Travel opportunities available (primarily in the North-West)
  • Self-motivated, with strong prioritisation and independence skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
