About Us
At National Star we realise the aspirations of adults living with complex physical and learning disabilities. The people we support are currently looking for care and support workers to join us.
About the Role
The long-term residents and students we support at Bradbury Gardens, situated close to Pittville Park in Cheltenham have a wide range of learning and physical disabilities. Like other young people of the same age many of them love fashion, listening to music, shopping, watching sport and socialising with their friends.
As a member of the care and support team you’ll:
- Help with personal care, including washing, dressing and mealtimes
- Accompany and support our residents and students in their daily activities
- Record and share with families the progress made towards personal goals and aspirations
- Keep in touch with family and friends so residents can spend time together/chat
- Administer medication to residents after receiving relevant training.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
