Brief Description
The Support Manager is responsible for supporting the end-to-end delivery of complex hardware and systems projects within a managed support environment. The role coordinates engineering activities, monitors project performance, manages budgets, and ensures delivery in accordance with military and regulatory requirements.
Your Responsibilities In This Role Include
- Support the creation and maintenance of project schedules, work packages, and resource plans using MS Project or similar planning tools
- Monitor project progress and support delivery against agreed milestones and objectives
- Proactively identify project risks, issues, and bottlenecks and implement appropriate mitigation actions
- Support manufacturing and engineering activities to ensure projects remain on schedule
- Assist with project cost tracking, budget management, and revenue forecasting against contractual baselines
- Coordinate activities across engineering, procurement, and manufacturing teams to support successful project delivery
- Produce project performance dashboards, KPIs, and status reports for senior stakeholders and Integrated Project Teams (IPTs)
- Ensure compliance with relevant military, regulatory, and contractual requirements

Requirements
Apply if you have most of the following:
- Experience managing or supporting engineering and manufacturing projects
- Technical background with an understanding of hardware and systems delivery
- Experience working within a manufacturing, aerospace, defence, or other highly regulated engineering environment
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Experience monitoring project schedules, budgets, risks, and performance metrics
Technical Skills/Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a STEM-related discipline
- Knowledge of project planning and scheduling tools, such as MS Project
- Ability to manage project budgets, risks, and reporting activities
Desirable
- Experience delivering hardware and systems projects
- Knowledge of military or regulated engineering environments
Additional Local Needs
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain UK Security Clearance
- Occasional travel may be required to support project delivery and stakeholder engagement
