Our fabulous #TeamBessieDunlop are on the lookout for understanding and motivated colleagues with a positive attitude to join their team on a permanent part-time (24 hours per week) basis in Dalry.
It's never a dull moment at Bessie Dunlop and no two days are ever the same. You'll be joining a large friendly team providing tailored and person-centred support.
The Role
As a Support Practitioner, you will support day-to-day personal needs including meal planning, cooking, housework, support to appointments and prompting with personal care and medication. We are looking for people who'll be enthusiastic about participating and supporting with hobbies and interests including meeting with friends, trips to the cinema and theatre as well as attending plenty tribute nights in the local area.
Our aim is to enable the people we support to live a fulfilling and valued life, where they can achieve their own personal goals and aspirations. You will participate in the planning and delivery of this person-centred care and encourage the people we support to express their views and wishes. With your help we will enable the people we support to play an active role within their local communities.
Due to the needs of the service, for this role you will need a full UK manual driver's licence with 1 year's experience on the roads.
About You
You don't need experience or qualifications to start your career with us; we recruit on values and transferrable skills. We have our own Training Academy that'll give you all the skills you'll need. We'll pay you for your training and even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and yearly SSSC registration fees too!

Shift Patterns
We provide flexible, person-led services that run twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, which include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and public holidays on a rota basis. So we will need you to be flexible.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy. We will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.
