Could you be our missing piece? If you're passionate about making a difference and looking for a career packed with job satisfaction, then we have a great opportunity for you!

Our fabulous teams across Irvine and Kilmarnock are looking to complete their teams and are now recruiting for understanding and enthusiastic individuals with great chat to join them as a Support Practitioner.

The role

Here at Cornerstone, the support that we provide is centred around assisting individuals to identify and work towards their goals. We work with the individuals to develop personal plans that reflect their choices, individual support needs and capabilities.

You'll support individuals to manage their own homes, increase and maintain their independence, and encourage and support them with personal care and their social, health and wellbeing needs.

The people we support all have different hobbies and interests too, so we’ll need you to bring creativity and enthusiasm into supporting them to access leisure activities, engage in meaningful activities and take part in hobbies and interests that are important to them, both within their home and out in their local communities.

Being a Support Practitioner is more than just a job, there’s no better feeling going home after every shift knowing that you’ve made a positive difference in someone’s life.

For this role, you'll need a full UK manual driving licence and at least one year's driving experience.

You don’t need experience in care or qualifications to start your career with us. We are more interested in who you are as a person. We’ll invest in you by providing paid training and we’ll even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and yearly SSSC registration fees too.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
