Support Secretary - Intestinal Failure Unit

We require an enthusiastic and highly motivated Support Secretary to play an important role, dedicated to ensuring excellent standards of care to the Intestinal Failure Unit.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Intestinal Failure (IF) Team providing comprehensive support across the department. You will work alongside the IF administration team on the intestinal failure unit, the post will provide you with an exciting challenge and give you the opportunity to play a key-supporting role to the multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide efficient clerical and typing support to the IF team in a rewarding and friendly environment.
  • Meet demands of working in a department dealing with confidential and sensitive issues in a professional manner.

Requirements

  • Degree of administration experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient with a wide variety of Microsoft Office packages.
  • Knowledge of Patient Centre, Medisec, record management, and clinic management would be beneficial.
  • Strong commitment to personal and professional development and teamwork.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and accuracy.
  • Ability to flexibly manage and prioritise a full workload using your own initiative.

Additional Information

The role also consists of MDT co-ordination, conference co-ordination, and data collection and inputting. The intestinal failure unit is a national reference centre and will be a point of contact for IF centres in the North of England.
