Job Role: Support Security Officer (Nights)
Working Hours
4 on 4 off shift pattern, nights (18:00-6:00) – average 42 hours per week
Pay
£12.71 per hour

Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Anchor Group Services for a Support Security Officer (Nights) to join our established security team based at Shotton Paper Mill in Deeside Industrial Park.
We are seeking reliable and vigilant individuals to provide operational support to the wider security team, assisting with maintaining site security during night shifts. This is a hands-on support role involving patrols, vehicle searches, site lock-up procedures, and responding to incidents as required.
You will be required to deliver a good standard of customer service, remain alert at all times, and support the effective running of site security operations. The successful candidate must hold a valid SIA Licence and a full UK manual driving licence.
Duties Include
- Supporting the security team in protecting the client’s property, people, and assets in line with Assignment Instructions (AI’s) and site procedures
- Conducting routine internal and external patrols of the site to ensure security and safety standards are maintained
- Carrying out vehicle searches in accordance with site policies and procedures
- Assisting with site lock-up and unlocking duties as required
- Responding to and supporting the management of security incidents, escalating where necessary
- Reporting irregularities, hazards, or breaches of procedure promptly and accurately
- Completing reports and logs by recording observations, incidents, and daily activities
- Providing support to gatehouse and core security functions
- Maintaining compliance with all legal, health & safety, and site-specific requirements
- Responding to queries from staff and contractors in a professional and helpful manner
- Maintaining a high standard of professionalism, vigilance, and reliability at all times

Requirements
- Full 5-year employment checkable history - Essential
- Valid frontline SIA licence DS or SG - Essential
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence - Essential
- Customer Service experience and confidence to handle conflict in a correct manner
- Flexible to meet the job requirements
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Smart appearance and be well-groomed
- Reliable and punctual
- High level of enthusiasm and passion
- Ability to work in a fast-moving environment
