Support Services - Bank Therapy Assistant - Lancashire

BANK Therapy Assistant Location: Lancashire Salary: £12.96 per hour Hours: As available

About the Role

To support Therapy staff in delivering high-quality, holistic, person-centred care and enable service users to achieve their full rehabilitation potential.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to address cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and functional needs.
  • Support service users with cancer or life-limiting illnesses, including those with specialist palliative or neurological needs.
  • Actively promote and uphold each service user’s individual rights, choices, and preferences.
  • Adhere to duty of care by reporting any status or variances in treatment/condition promptly to the Therapist.
  • Order, fit, and instruct users (and carers) on the safe use of equipment in therapeutic settings or their homes.
  • Liaise with service users and families to complete forms, gather information, and coordinate interventions.
  • Assist the Therapy Team with administrative tasks, including:
    • Gathering referrals
    • Recording monthly activity data
    • Collecting, collating, evaluating, and reporting service user information
    • Maintaining accurate records (written and electronic)
  • Ensure a safe working environment, protect service user confidentiality, and assist with additional tasks when required.
