About the Role

As a Support & Services Manager, you will become a core part of our diverse Support & Services function, fully embedded within one of our operational sites. This unique and independent role involves close collaboration with our customers, supply chain, and operational delivery teams—delivering impactful contributions to both our business and services.

Your primary focus will be on building strong, trust-based relationships with key stakeholders to ensure:

  • Safety of combined operations;
  • Effective management of operational risk, including understanding, mitigation, and ongoing oversight;
  • Open collaboration to drive a robust enterprise safety and performance culture; and
  • Clear, fact-based communication regarding successes, issues, risks, and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Site-Specific Duties

  • Act as an independent team member and critical advisor to our operational teams, enhancing safety and efficiency.

Cross-Function Contributions

  • Share best practices across sites, supporting the wider Support & Services team.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement programmes, striving to standardise and enhance our:
    • Safety Management Systems;
    • Quality Management Systems.
  • Provide independent safety and technical support to operational teams, ensuring operational excellence and risk mitigation.

Key Success Factors

To succeed in this role, you must bring:

  • Hands-on expertise in Aircraft Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) or Continuing Airworthiness Management (CAMO) in a management or leadership capacity.
  • A deep practical understanding and experience of Air Safety Management.

  • A hybrid approach: capable of team-focused collaboration and work autonomously, maintaining an independent perspective.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong ICT literacy to develop clear, concise, and factual reports that drive informed decision-making.

Additional Requirements

  • Experience in robust safety risk assessments, ideally underpinned by data.
  • Significant knowledge of both civil and military aviation, with prior exposure to CAP 562 Lft B-40 as an advantage.
  • Proven accomplished planning skills to support and execute collaborative strategies in complex environments.
