Support Time and Recovery Worker

Job Overview

The post holder will as part of a Multi-disciplinary Team for the Mental health and Wellness team East in Barking and Dagenham. They will work closely with Mental Health Professionals regarding Recovery principles and will be identified as a keyworker for the individuals they are supporting. They will have a commitment to collaborative working and actively supporting and liaising with other health and social professionals and agencies.

Support , Time and Recovery Worker Band Four

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities as a STR worker include:

Being identified as a keyworker to support individuals reach their recovery goals, enable the Service User to maintain their own personal care needs. To work with local service user/peer networks and cultivate local communities around them To support Service Users to gain access to resources within the community which include benefits, welfare rights and health promotion. To ensure that the Service Users understand who to contact within the different agencies involved in their support plan. To provide support with daily living to empower people to live independent lives. To support service users to identify early signs of mental health relapse and alert appropriate staff involved in the person’s care.

Starting with NELFT

NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

High Cost Area Supplement Outer London (B&D, Redbridge, Havering and Waltham Forest, CEME)

This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,870 to a maximum of £6,137 p.a. pro rata for part time).
