Support Time Recovery Worker
Job Description: STR Worker
The STR worker is responsible for promoting a Recovery Model of Care by providing direct help and support to service users and their carers during acute mental health crisis periods, monitoring treatment and providing practical advice.
Main Duties of the Job
- Work as a key member of the HTT team, bringing a hands-on and practical approach and helping to support positive culture change.
- Deliver across boundaries of care focusing on the specific needs of service users in accordance with their care plans.
- Be aligned in partnership with the individual and their care team.
- Promote the standards identified in the organisations Patients Charter and assist with basic practical tasks, promote independence and develop and encourage links with the local community.
- Provide evidence-based brief interventions for clients experiencing mental health difficulties under clinical supervision.
- Be required to engage with a wide variety of internal and external colleagues such as clinical leads, Primary Care Networks, clinicians and clinical services, local authority and voluntary organisations.
It would be preferable if the successful candidate can drive and has access to a car.

Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Goodmayes, Essex.
Probationary Period
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).

High Cost Area Supplement Outer London (B&D, Redbridge, Havering and Waltham Forest)
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,714 to a maximum of £5,941 p.a. pro rata for part time).
