Team Support Worker in the Learning Disability Service – Dorset Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust
About the Role
Are you an enthusiastic, forward-thinking individual who can adapt to changing priorities and deliver high-quality healthcare?
The Learning Disability Service in Dorset Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is led by a passionate and dedicated team. We are seeking a like-minded individual to join us in making a tangible difference to people’s lives.
- Provide care and support for patients and service users
- Implement and monitor care plans, reporting back to relevant professionals
- Work in partnership with individuals with learning disabilities, their families, and carers to empower them in living successfully in the community
Key Responsibilities
Core Duties
- Deliver personalised support to promote independent living and community inclusion
- Work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary health and social care team
- Ensure compliance with best practice in healthcare and learning disability support
Team Collaboration
- Foster strong relationships with service users, families, and carers
- Participating in service planning, reviews, and connected interdisciplinary care

Requirements
Essential Criteria
- Proven experience working in a public-facing setting
- Commitment to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with learning disabilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Legal Right to Work
- Must hold a valid right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available for this role)
Working Conditions
- Part-time position: 17 hours per week (days negotiable)
- Batch: Primarily based at North Dorset Local Office in Sturminster Newton, with potential on-site travel as required
